Plugins are responsible for enhancing your website functionality, introducing new features and even improving it’s performance.

The sheer selection of plugins available at wordpress.org can, at times, be overwhelming. Unless the plugin you require is very niche in it’s functionality you will find there are often multiple (even dozens) of plugins available.

We recommend Contact Form 7. It doesn’t have a flashy name or logo. It also makes us think what happened to the other 6?

Whilst we’re still on the topic of website speed optimizing it would be a good idea to checkout Smush.

Smush has loads of cool features, including bulk Smush. Simply let it run and optimize all of the images in your media library.

Yes, there are some limitations with the free version (such as not compressing your images as much as the pro version).

The plugin does an excellent job at compressing your images and helping to speed up your website.

Download link: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/

WooCommerce is arguably one of the most popular and powerful WordPress plugins there is.

This should be your first action when looking to create a powerful and versatile online shop, with WordPress.

The plugin has a handy wizard for taking you through the first steps.

After that it’s up to you. The plugin itself can take a while to setup, due to the huge  number of options (most of which you will want to check out).

You can add and customize products, customize your basket and checkout, select multiple payment options and so much more.

It can get difficult and require custom coding to get things exactly as you like so we recommend contacting a suitable developer to help you.

That’s it.
